Choosing Your Wedding Cake

22 Dec 17

Choosing your Wedding Cake can be a really fun part of your Wedding Planning. You get to eat cake samples & not feel guilty !!

There are a few things to consider when choosing your Ideal Cake

How Many Tiers -

  • 2 Tiers roughly 100 guests - 4 Tiers roughly 200 guests

Style -

  • Themed Cake (See Lego Cake Below), Traditional, Naked, Colour Scheme

Flavors -  There are so many to choose from, you could even have a different flavor for each tier

  • Chocolate biscuit
  • Red velvet
  • Carrot cake
  • Lemon drizzle
  • Chocolate
  • Victoria sponge with raspberry and cream filling
  • Vanilla
  • Hazelnut especially when in mixed with chocolate.
  • Many opt for a fruit top tier and keep it for the first born christening. You can freeze the fruit layer. This tradition has fizzled out slightly over the last few years.

It's a good idea to have a look online at different options & decide what style & flavors you would like incorporated into your cake before contacting cake makers this way you have an idea of what you would like
